Congratulations on getting your first ever paid student!
In order to work with students long-term, there are a few very important things to keep in mind:
Don’t be late. Always be on time.
Lessen your absences. Too many absences may upset the parent leading them to request for a new teacher. If this happens, we have no choice but to comply. The parents call the shots.
If you can't make it to class, let us know 24 hours in advance so we can secure a substitute teacher. Our teacher coordinator, Matt, is in the Philippines. Our messages are open 24/7. The more time you give us, the better.
Always reply to our messages. Even if you are busy or unavailable, just let us know. Even just liking our message is enough. Communication is key to an efficient and effective work environment. Remember, we are a team. In the event of a brown out, send Matt a text and let him know right away so we can secure a substitute teacher.
It is important that students understand their lessons. Quality and comprehension over speed. Be patient and follow the student’s pace and learning style.
Always be professional. Wear appropriate clothing and avoid background noise. We recommend you download the free noise cancelling app Krisp.
Always be kind to parents and students. If there are any problems, do not disuccs it with the parents. Let us know right away and we will handle it.
Keep your timesheet updated. That way, there won’t be any delays when sending payment.
It’s that simple! Do your best and provide quality service. If you follow these steps and take it to heart, you will be flooded with students. The best part, they will be learning from you long-term.
We're in this journey together. Let's keep it fun, peaceful and productive. Team work makes the dream work!
